Presented every other year, Cabaret is Akima Club’s major fundraiser. Our next Cabaret will be March 9 and 10, 2012 at the Bijou Theatre followed by dinner and dancing at Cherokee Country Club. From this event alone we fund grants to many local agencies. Grants are only given for specific projects and are not awarded for salaries and/or operating expenses. These grant funds can only be used to directly aid the clients served by the agencies.

 

Akima Club also contributes to the community by donating member service hours. We work to support Mobile Meals, Race for the Cure, Helen Ross McNabb Center, Ronald McDonald House, Sunshine Industries, Symphony Show House, Mission of Hope, Akima Outreach, and many more.  Our yearly service is more than 6500 hours.
