The Akima Club of Knoxville

Founded in 1947 as a women’s service club, Akima provides volunteer hours and financial support to Knoxville agencies covering programs for Arts, Culture and Science; Children and Youth; Medical and Social Services; Seniors and a variety of other fields. For Akima’s 75th birthday, we raised almost $6,000 for our Grants Program. The Muse Knoxville Children's Museum was awarded this amount to be used to recarpet their planetarium.
